Dr. Gerson has been a surgeon at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago for 26 years caring for children of all ages including newborns. She has cared for healthy as well as special needs children. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and is on the faculty of Northwestern University.

She is married to Rabbi Gary S. Gerson of Oak Park Temple and has a daughter in Rabbinical School.
